Hybrid Personal Training

Hybrid Personal Training – The Best of Both Worlds for You and Me.

In recent years, online personal training has become an increasingly popular way for people to work with a personal trainer or coach, allowing them to work out in their own time and space.

However, it can’t be denied that some people prefer to have that one-on-one contact; they like to see their trainer

– face-to-face,

– get real-time feedback, and

– feel the rush of really getting pushed during a session—if not all of the time, at least some of it.

For those of you out there, there is a popular variation in personal training on the rise. It’s called hybrid personal training, and it offers you the best of both worlds by combining both in-person and online training.

So what is Hybrid Personal Training?

Just as the name implies, hybrid personal training is a multifaceted approach that combines both in-person training and online training. With this style of training, you’ll still work with your trainer in person but the frequency of those face-to-face sessions is dependent on your technique, confidence and other factors.

Between sessions, when you’re not training physically alongside me, you’ll stay connected with me through

– online training program,

– prescribed workouts,

– nutrition goals,

– check-ins,

– habit tracking.

through a personal training software/ platform and app Trainerize that I’m using.

With hybrid personal training, you get the face time you need, your programming and accountability between sessions from me to get great results without necessarily seeing me as frequently as with strictly in-person sessions.

Instead of training face-to-face three times per week, you can schedule one in-person session per week and get the other workouts to do on your own in between. This will help you stay consistent with your programming. Instead of only being connected to your training 12 times a month, you will be connected to me and your program 30 days a month!

It also provides an affordable option for those of you who want to work with me in-person but can’t afford to see me in-person three or four times per week. Instead of letting personal training go completely, you can work with me face-to-face on a limited basis, while still getting my programming expertise, coaching, and accountability service.

The hybrid model of personal training provides a great way to empower you to take ownership of your fitness journey and increase accountability during some of your independent workouts. The in-person sessions will allow me to discover your strengths and weaknesses and areas of technique you need to work on.

We can then save the complex movements for your in-person workouts and provide you with workouts and exercises that you are comfortable with to do on your own, or, after working on your technique in in-person sessions a few times, I can add special instructions and notes to your solo workouts to remind you of specific corrections or care.

The hybrid model is also great for those of you who already have training experience. You may have been working out on your own for a few years and feel comfortable continuing on somewhat independently, but are looking to learn some new movements or to take your results to the next level.

You can use your in-person sessions to learn newer, more complex movements and then practice them as well in your own workouts in between. The other great thing about hybrid personal training is that we can structure it any way we like. We can change the number of in-person sessions as you progress.

Best way is to begin with a “kick-start” month that includes a few extra in-person sessions above what you’d normally have in a long term program, just to get you started. This is an especially good idea if you are completely new to training. Those of you coming to me without prior fitness experience or just beginning your fitness journey will definitely benefit from more hands-on experience in the beginning.

The extra accountability that comes from seeing me multiple times each week may be just what you need to kick-start your routine.

Similarly, those of you who are dealing with injuries or seeing me specifically for rehabilitative purposes will fare better by seeing me more frequently. That’s not to say that some of you will never be great candidates for the hybrid model; you may just find that you need a few months of seeing me more frequently before you can safely and effectively make that transition.

Hybrid personal training is very suitable for those of you who can’t keep up with the cost or time-commitments of in-person training, but still want to get that in-person time with me. This isn’t just online training—it’s the opportunity to take charge of your health and fitness and continue accessing my knowledge, expertise, and accountability only at a price-point or with a revised schedule that works for you.

Hybrid personal training allows for more accountability and hands-on experience than online training, but with a smaller financial investment than strictly in-person—without compromising results.

It will be more time-efficient for you, as you don’t need to coordinate your schedule with me with multiple sessions per week.

If you experience slightly lower internal motivation or have difficulty staying accountable to yourself, an occasional in-person session might just be what’s needed to get you back on track.

So be empowered by taking more responsibility for your own habits and actions. Whether you train in-person, online, or both, we will use Trainerize platform to keep us connected.
